A selection of social media assets from a range of campaigns including fundraisers and marketing campaigns for our magazine and events.

Events (Print and Digital)

Print and digital collateral for our public events included event programs, signage, and presentations. This was part of our overall event design done in close collaboration with our Director of Programs and the rest of the team.

Designing the many aspects of our in-person experiences was an early gateway into making the case for more human-centered design processes and higher accessibility standards across all design projects.

Commissioned graphic design and animation assets

DATE
2020

Working closely with Brett Cook, an artist, educator, and A Blade of Grass board member with whom I’ve done several freelance projects, we designed a set of artist prints with an accompanying enclosure for a project called The Black (W)hole.

Print sets were available at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco) as part of Reflection and Action, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the work of Brett Cook and Liz Lerman.

  • The Black (W)Hole is a multi-year community-engaged project led by Brett, spoken word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company Artistic Director Sarah Crowell.

The project was a healing, celebratory experience that mourned and honored the lives of six young people who died in and around Oakland. The artists worked closely with the families of the young people and a multi-generational group of dancers from Destiny Arts from 2019-2022 in a range of mediums, from dance workshops to performances, to create public rituals for mourning and healing.
